Download From Interactive Brokers

To download data from Interactive Brokers:

  1. Run TradeMax and setup an IB account
  2. Log into your Interactive Brokers account.
  3. Click the plus sign in front of  Reports -> Activity -> Third-Party Downloads

  4. Select the appropriate Daily or Monthly Statement, In “Format” choose “TradeLog(*.tlf), Quicken(*.qfx) or MS Money(*.ofx)” ,then click the Download button.
    From the Account Administration section select Base Currency.In the Date fields, select the Period (Daily, Monthly or Custom Date Range) and a Date. For Custom Date
    Range, select the From and To dates, which define the period covered by the statement you want to download.

    • If you download TradeLog format(*.tlf), select and copy entire report to Text Document then save it as TXT file or use orignal TLF format.Your downloaded tlf or txt file must be in this format as shown below:

      In Trademax import wizard, you should select profile InterActive Brokers TLF(*.tlf,*.txt,*.csv) format.
    • If you download Quicken(*.qfx), you should select Profile Name / Open Financial Exchange(*.ofx,*.qfx,*xml).Note: Currently only the US version of Quicken is supported for IB. The US version of Quicken requires all values to be in USD. Regardless of the base currency in which you trade, you must ensure that your base currency for reporting needs is set to USD. To set or change your base currency for reporting, log into Account Management.
      Note that downloads to Quicken (.OFX format) can go back 90 days
    • If you download MS Money(*.ofx), you should select Profile Name / Open Financial Exchange.
  5. If you find the your downloaded file format is different from the above formats, you should set your profile in Profile Wizard.
  6. Run TradeMax and setup an IB account to import trade activity data from local file.

b) Use flex queries function
1. Login to your Interactive Brokers account, Account Management area.
2. In the main menu, click on “Reports”, then “Trade Confirmations”.
3. Click “Create New Flex Query”
4. Name the Query, select text file as export type (TXT), select date range and from the “Available Fields” choose the following: TradeDate, Symbol, Buy/Sell, Price, Quantity, Commission.
5. Save the Query.
6. Run the Query.
7. Copy and paste the text file into Microsoft Excel. File –> Save as –> select “Comma Delimited (CSV)” for Save as Type, choose a name then Save.
8. You can either define your own template with trademax profile wizard function or send us a sample CSV or Xls data file(activity statement) with 8~10 lines of transactions in it for importing, we will build the template for our customer at no extra cost.(in statement choose legacy full->choose period(custom date range)->ms execl)

Download Data From Folio FN


To download data file from FolioFN:

  1. Log into FolioFN trading account.
  2. Go to the Download Center.
  3. Select the desired year of the data and click Download File
  4. Select a date range for your trade history and click Download Now.
  5. Click save button.
  6. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file.

Download Data From Fidelity Investment


To download data file from Fidelity Investment:

  1. Log in your Fidelity Investments account.
  2. Click Accounts & Trade > Portfolio.

  3. Select History from the View Side Bar.
  4. Select the desired Time Period.
  5. Click Display button to view the Trade History.
  6. Click Download button.
  7. Press Save and save the data as csv file.Your downloaded file must be in this format as shown below, otherwise, you should set your profile in Profile Wizard dialog box to import
    your data into TradeMax.

  9. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file.

 

Download Data From eRegal Securities


To download data file from eRegal Securities:

  1. Log to your trading account.

  2. Click the Account Information then select Activity.

  3. Select Trades from the “Activity Type” drop down box.
  4. Unselect the Current check box and set the time range.
  5. After your Trade History report displays, click Download Data. Your reports should contain the right columns as below:

  6. Select Delimited text file and Comma delimited and then click the Download now button.

Download Data From Schonfeld Group Holdings LLC


To download data file from Schonfeld Group Holdings LLC:

  1. Go to Schonfeld Group Holdings LLC website and log in to My InfoCenter.
  2. Click Ticket Information<Ticket Activity.
  3. Set a specific time range , then select Account Number.

  4. Click Save Results to File button.

  5. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file.

Download Data from Goldman Sachs


To download data file from Goldman Sachs:

  1. Log to your Goldman Sachs account.
  2. Select Activity from the Online Reports menu.
  3. Set the report parameters then click the Search button.
  4. Click the Excel icon (just above the Search button).
  5. Click Save button.
  6. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file. Click Next Button 
  7. In Profile Name Dropdown list,Please select Profile Wizard(*.xls).

 

Download From Lightspeed


To download data file from Lightspeed:

  1. Log into your Lightspeed trade account.
  2. Click MY ACCOUNT tab > APEX Online,
  3. select Account Information -> Trade Activity from its dropdown menu.
  4. Select Data Range.
  5. Save the file to your desired directory.
  6. Run TradeMax and setup a Lightspeed account to import trade activity data from local file.

Find Trades


With TradeMax, you can find and display specific trade records:

To display trades within data range in data grid:

  • Select the BeginDate/EndDate checkbox to activate this function
  • Type in the begindate/enddate manually or select it from the dropdown list

To display trade records by using the column header Filter:

  1. Click the icon next to the column header in the data grid (for example, column header Symbol)
  2. A Filter popup box will appear:

  3. Select the checkbox to select specific symbols. You can select the Select All checkbox to select or unselect all.
  4. Click OK

End of Tax Year


After all trades executed during the tax year have been imported and matched correctly, you are ready to end of tax year for the next tax year.
With this function, you can check next tax year’s baseline position include year end open position and deferloss to each washsale position.

Let’s take the Tax year 2005 as an example. Please follow steps below to End the Tax Year:

  1. Right-click the folder FY2005 under the specific account in the Account List and the following dialog box will pop up:You will see 2005 Year End Open Position & Defer Loss.
  2. Confirm your open position with your December statements from your brokerage.If there is any unmatched position, you can check these:
  3. Click on Next button and the New Year Baseline Position dialog box will show:

  4. Click Finish to complete the progress. Then next tax year’s baseline position and defercost will display in next tax year’s (In this example, it is tax year 2006) Baseline window and data grid as the following:After end of the tax year, you will see,
    • the next tax year Baseline view icon will become icon .
    • the Finance year view icon will become icon

    Tips: Finance year view Icon means you have already done End of Tax Year.

Download From OptionsXpress


To download data file from OptionsXpress:

  1. Login your OptionsXpress account.
  2. Click Accounts > Activity.
  3. Select the Period and Type.
  4. Select Comma Delimited (CSV) in the Download File drop down box and then click the GO button.Note: Click on the box “Show Commissions & Regulatory Fees.
  5. Press Save to save the report as csv file.
  6. Your downloaded file must be in this format as shown below, otherwise, you should set your profile in profile wizard dialog box to import your data into TradeMax.
