Why run TradeMax as an administrator in Windows 7 or Vista?

If your PC system is Win 7 or  Vista , you will be required to run TradeMax as an administrator during the process of  handling your transaction charts or reports. The following are four options for you to choose from as for how to run TradeMax as an ademinstrator in Windows 7 or Vista.

How to run TradeMax as an administrator in Windows 7 or Vista ?

When running Trademax, you are given a Access Denied or No Permission type error, then running it as an administrator can usually give the program the permission it needs to run properly. The following wizard will tell you how to run TradeMax in Windows7:

Option One: Disable and Turnoff UAC (User Account Control) in Windows 7 from Control Panel

  1. Access User Control Panel from Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Account
  2. Click on User Account Control settings link.
  3. Move the Slider to Never Notify
  4. Click OK to make the change effective
  5. Reboot.

Option Two : Using Program Context menu which allows you to temporarily run a program as an administrator once until you close it.

  1. Right click Trademax.exe file, and click on Run as administrator. (See screenshot below)
  2. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes to apply permission to allow the program to run with full permission as an administrator.NOTE: If you are doing this is while logged in as standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to provide the administrator’s password before the program will run as administrator.

Option Three : Using Compatibility Mode

  1. Right click on the TradeMax shortcut or TradeMax .exe file, then click on Properties, and on the Compatibility tab. (See screenshot below)NOTE: If you are doing this while logged on as a standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to also click on the Change settings for all users button and type in the administrator’s password.
  2. To Always Run this Program as an Administrator
  3. A) Check the Run this program as an administrator box, and click on OK. (See screenshot above)

  4. To Not Always Run this Program as an Administrator
  5. A) Uncheck the Run this program as an administrator box, and click on OK. (See screenshots above)

  6. Open TradeMax
  7. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes to apply permission to allow the program to run with full permission as an administrator.

    NOTE: If you are doing this is while logged in as standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to provide the administrator’s password before the program will run as administrator.

Option Four: Using Advanced Properties which allow you to always have the program run as an administrator when you open it.

  1. Right click on the TradeMax shortcut or TradeMax.exe file, then click on Properties.
  2. Click on the Shortcut tab for a program shortcut, or click on the General tab for a program .exe file. Click on the Advanced button. (See screenshots below)
  3. To Always Run this Program as an Administrator A) Check the Run as administrator box, and click on OK. (See screenshot below)NOTE: The option to select this from the General tab (step 2) is not available in a standard user account.
  4. To Not Always Run this Program as an Administrator

    A) Uncheck the Run as administrator box, and click on OK. (See screenshot above)

  5. Click on OK.
  6. Open TradeMax.
  7.
