TradeMax provides you a powerful way to import your data file from your hard drive. You should download your data from your online broker or export it from Microsoft Money or Quicken etc.
- You can directly download your data from your online broker. The process is:
- Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
- Find the Data file option (*.txt,*.qif, *.csv,*.xls).
- Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008”, End “12/31/2008”).
- Click the download button.
- Download the file to your hard drive. Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.
- You can also copy the data file from your online broker’s website. The process is:
- Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
- Find the Data file option(*.txt,*.qif, *.csv).
- Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008”, End “12/31/2008”).
- Display the data file
- Select and copy the data file just like the Microsoft excel and past it to a NotePad.
- Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.

Export from an acceptable program like Microsoft Money or Quicken; just follow the program’s HELP. Qif format file ,ofx format file and Excel format are supported by TradeMax.
Note:
If your online broker does not support any of the above formats, please contact them asking for the possible data file such as CSV file, a text file (tab delimited) or a QIF file
