TradeMax provides you a powerful way to import your data file from your hard drive. You should download your data from your online broker or export it from Microsoft Money, TradeLog or Quicken etc.

  1. You can directly download your data from your online broker. The process is:
    1. Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
    2. Find the Data file option (*.txt,*.qif, *.csv,*.xls).
    3. Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008″, End “12/31/2008″).
    4. Click the download button.
    5. Download the file to your hard drive. Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.
  2. You can also copy the data file from your online broker’s website. The process is:
    1. Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
    2. Find the Data file option(*.txt,*.qif, *.csv).
    3. Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008″, End “12/31/2008″).
    4. Display the data file
    5. Select and copy the data file just like the Microsoft excel and past it to a NotePad.
    6. Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.
  3. Export from the acceptable program like Microsoft Money, TradeLog or Quicken just follow the program’s HELP.

Note:

If your online broker is not supported the above way, please contact them asking for the possible data file such as CSV file, a text file (tab delimited) or a QIF file
