Download Your Data File


TradeMax provides you a powerful way to import your data file from your hard drive. You should download your data from your online broker or export it from Microsoft Money or Quicken etc.

  1. You can directly download your data from your online broker. The process is:
    1. Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
    2. Find the Data file option (*.txt,*.qif, *.csv,*.xls).
    3. Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008”, End “12/31/2008”).
    4. Click the download button.
    5. Download the file to your hard drive. Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.
  2. You can also copy the data file from your online broker’s website. The process is:
    1. Log in to your online Broker’s web site and go to the Account History Section.
    2. Find the Data file option(*.txt,*.qif, *.csv).
    3. Select a Time Period for your data file (for example, Start “1/1/2008”, End “12/31/2008”).
    4. Display the data file
    5. Select and copy the data file just like the Microsoft excel and past it to a NotePad.
    6. Save it to “C:\My Documents\TradeMax”.
  3. Export from an acceptable program like Microsoft Money or Quicken; just follow the program’s HELP. Qif format file ,ofx format file and Excel format are supported by TradeMax.

Note:

If your online broker does not support any of the above formats, please contact them asking for the possible data file such as CSV file, a text file (tab delimited) or a QIF file

Download Data From eRegal Securities


To download data file from eRegal Securities:

  1. Log to your trading account.

  2. Click the Account Information then select Activity.

  3. Select Trades from the “Activity Type” drop down box.
  4. Unselect the Current check box and set the time range.
  5. After your Trade History report displays, click Download Data. Your reports should contain the right columns as below:

    Account Type | Trade Date | Settle Date | Exec Time | Trade Number | CUSIP/Symbol | ISIN | Description | Buy/Sell | Qy | Price | Principal Amt | Comm | Other Comm | Net Amount | Curr

  6. Select Delimited text file and Comma delimited and then click the Download now button.

  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file .

Download Data from Goldman Sachs


To download data file from Goldman Sachs:

  1. Log to your Goldman Sachs account.
  2. Select Activity from the Online Reports menu.
  3. Set the report parameters then click the Search button.
  4. Click the Excel icon (just above the Search button).
  5. Click Save button.
  6. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file. Click Next Button 
  7. In Profile Name Dropdown list,Please select Profile Wizard(*.xls).

 

Download From OptionsXpress


To download data file from OptionsXpress:

  1. Login your OptionsXpress account.
  2. Click Accounts > Activity.
  3. Select the Period and Type.
  4. Select Comma Delimited (CSV) in the Download File drop down box and then click the GO button.Note: Click on the box “Show Commissions & Regulatory Fees.
  5. Press Save to save the report as csv file.
  6. Your downloaded file must be in this format as shown below, otherwise, you should set your profile in profile wizard dialog box to import your data into TradeMax.

    If you find the downloaded file format is different from the above formats, you should set your profile in Profile Wizard.

  7. Run TradeMax to import trade activity data from local file.
